Kirsten joined the Windrow Phillips Group in November 2018. Starting as an intern with the firm, she tracked and assisted in amending relevant legislation, monitored regulatory changes, and was able to begin developing relationships with corporate, agricultural and municipal clients of the firm. Her natural ability to connect with clients and collaborate easily with legislative members made Kirsten a great addition to our team. Her exposure to the Tennessee General Assembly and her work with clients of Windrow Phillips Group furthered her interest in the government relations arena and she accepted a permanent position with the firm as a lobbyist in 2019.
Prior to joining the Windrow Phillips Group, Kirsten served in state government as a public sector professional. She worked as a Bill Clerk in the Tennessee House of Representatives getting some of the most valuable training available as she learned the ins and outs of the rules and workings of the General Assembly. She had a behind the scenes look at the intricacies involved in passing legislation and learned from seasoned and well-respected members of the House Clerk’s office. Her time spent in government allowed her to establish a solid background for her future in the legislative environment.
